Applications to join our program this summer are open! We are currently accepting applications from 8th graders in Akron, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Lorain, and Toledo. Use the links below to apply today or book a presentation for an LLI representative to come speak to your students!

We celebrated our small group of graduates who first applied to LLI in 2020…and then had to wait another year before they could even begin. They have shown tenacity and persistence throughout their high school careers, and we cannot wait to see where their college experiences take them!

Take a Look Inside the Academic Year!
We know that writing is an essential skill that plays a crucial role in the academic and professional success of students—and competitions provide an excellent incentive to practice! Each Saturday Session, the students are given a chance to win a prize for their written work based on a variety of legal topics. Take a look at some of the winning pieces!
LLI’s 1st Lawyers
In 2020, LLI Columbus graduate, Alexis Apparicio, and LLI Akron graduate, Imokhai Okolo, were the first two LLI alumni to graduate law school and pass the bar exam. Both students began LLI the first year of the statewide program and after four years of high school, four years of college, and three years of law school achieved this monumental milestone.
After graduating from Ohio University in spring 2017, Ms. Apparicio graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and is completing a one-year fellowship with L Brands. Mr. Okolo graduated from Miami University in spring 2017 and the University of Akron School of Law in spring 2020 and is an associate at the Cleveland office of Jones Day.
Both students attribute a great deal of their success to the LLI program. We wish nothing but the best for Alexis and Imokhai and look forward to seeing what they will accomplish in the future!
