Eligibility

  • Be currently enrolled in 8th grade and entering 9th grade in Fall 2026

  • Demonstrate a strong desire and motivation to enroll in and graduate from a four-year college or university

  • Exhibit a strong academic record core academic subjects (mostly As and Bs with limited Cs)

  • Maintain consistent school attendance and demonstrate positive behavior both in and out of school

  • Show interest in developing leadership, critical thinking, legal, and analytical skills

HOW TO APPLY

A complete application includes the following materials:

  • A fully completed and signed application form

  • A copy of the applicant’s most recent report card

  • A short answer response (as outlined in the application)

  • One completed recommendation form

We recommend completing and submitting the online application for the fastest processing. However, we recognize that access to technology can vary. If printing and scanning the application is more convenient, a printable version is also available.

Paper applications should be scanned and emailed to lli@lawandleadership.org. For easy scanning, we recommend using a mobile app like CamScanner. This app allows you to take photos of your documents, convert them into PDFs, and email the files directly from the app.

Only complete applications will be reviewed by the admissions committee. Once a complete application is submitted and received, students will receive notification via email.
